A Wrinkle in Time was one of my most-loved books as a child, we’ve read The Giver for book club, and I just finished A Handmaid’s Tale a few months ago, but I’d go with Ray Bradbury given the above choices.

I love the idea of two weeks dedicated to banned books. I’ll have to chose some off the list for myself! Your list looks great.

Exercising your freedom to read occurs every single time you pick up a book, and especially if that book tis one some people would like to see go away – permanently.

And really, do not pressure yourself to read all of them. Just by committing to consciously read banned/challenged books makes a difference, and that is what this is all about.

Catcher in the Rye is my all-time favorite. I actually have three copies of it: one at work, one at home, and one at my parents’ place, just so that there’s always a copy at hand.

The Witches is my favorite Roald Dahl, ahead of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and Matilda.

This looks like fun – and most of the “banned books” turn out to be very thought-provoking, and scary.
