I hate it when that happens!
I know I read all of L’Engle’s books when I was younger but I can’t remember them at all. I need to go back and reread them and see if I still like her other books as much as I did.

I recently reread A Wrinkle in Time for a personal reading challenge, and had the opposite reaction. Madeleine L’Engle may be one of my favourite fiction writers, but every time I reread this particular novel of hers, I like it less and less.

On the other hand, the last of the “Time” novels, An Acceptable Time only gets better and better for me. I’m surprised to discover, through my blogging friends, that it’s not as beloved of other readers as it is of me!

You’ve found some lovely covers here! Especially that top one. I wish I could have a closer look…

I really loved this book, the main character (was she called Meg?) really appealed to me. I felt we had a lot in common

I liked the way she deals with fantasy in normal life – the magic exists, but it feels real and convincing.
